Never would I have imagined that various poultry would be a means of selling me jewelry… or anything wearable, for that matter. However, Peter Lippmann, the man behind the much blogged about “Luxury Chicks” editorial, has proven that maybe chickens are the new internet cats. Or at the very least, a serious commodity and a really high selling point for expensive goodies.
With that said, here’s a semi extensive of chickens (and chicken like beings) wearing clothes. Because… I’m sure it’s important to someone out there.
And here are some Cartier ~bijoux~ sported by various chickens. I don’t know how this happened or where it all came from, but I like it and I’m predicting that this is the future of fashion.
I don’t know it’s exactly humane to dress your chicken up in ~fancy~ garb (especially if it’s pink and fluffy and sometimes sparkly), but here they are. Being cute and pretty, kind of.
It turns out that chickens wearing sweaters are actually pretty popular/not as obscure as you may have originally thought. So…if you, your mother, or someone else you know finds incomparable joy in knitting-related activities, there might be a rather large market of people looking to buy their chickens sweaters. Just…FYI.
Whether attired festively or bundled up for the cold, when winter comes around, chicken owners are (evidently) very concerned about their chickens…so they make sure to outfit them appropriately.
