Movie Review: The Master is a masterpiece! And I guarantee an Oscar nomination for best supporting star, Joaquin Phoenix! Also probably Oscar nods for Amy Adams and Phillip Seymour Hoffman! Set in the early 50′s post WW2, Phoenix’s character is a bizarre, complex, violent, sick puppy! Hoffman’s character is very complex, conniving and charismatic who’s teachings are similar to L. Ron Hubbard’s Scientology. The 2 have mental battles that are full of confusion, violence, rage, disgrace and even sexual fantasies! (Rated R) – (136 Minutes) – (4 Stars ).
