Madonna has booked her first show ever at Joe Louis Arena on Nov. 8.
In the last ten years, this will only be the second concert the singer has played in Metro Detroit. And it's something of a late arrival — Madonna announced her 2012 world tour dates over a month ago, and Detroit wasn't on the list. The Nov. 8 concert date falls on a week-long gap in her four month schedule between stops in St. Paul and Cleveland.
Tickets for the Nov. 8 show at Joe Louis Arena are $48-$173 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 19 through LiveNation, Ticketmaster and the Joe Louis Arena box office.

Detroit Free Press: There are two early-bird opportunities this week: A pre-sale for Madonna fan club members will run from 10 a.m. Tuesday through 5 p.m. Thursday, with another for Citi credit card holders from 10 a.m. Wednesday through 5 p.m. Friday.
The tour follows the March 26 release of her new album, "MDNA." And, if past history is an indicator, it's going to be a moneymaker — Madonna's 2008 "Sticky and Sweet" series grossed $408 million, the most ever for a solo artist.
