Members of the Madonna University community gathered Thursday, May 24, to celebrate the 
completion of several renovation projects. The event included a special blessing of the new sign language studies lab, nursing simulation lab and Graduate School suite in the main academic building.
"These new spaces are a testament to Madonna University's commitment to continuously providing its students top tier instruction and facilities, in order that they enjoy the best educational experience possible," said Sister Rose Marie Kujawa, president of Madonna University.
Father John Sajdek, Madonna Campus Ministry student Lakeya Martin, and Madonna University's president S Rose Marie Kujawa led a procession during the blessing and dedication of Madonna University's new sign language studies lab, nursing simulation lab and Graduate School suite.
At the blessing and dedication, Mark Spiess, publisher of Health Care Weekly Review, presented the 2011 Award of Excellence in Nursing Education to S Rose Marie Kujawa, Madonna president, and Teresa Cervantez Thompson, dean of the College of Nursing and Health.
