Madonna is iconic. Her music, her fashion, her performances – all so major. So obviously, deciding what to wear for her concert Tuesday at US Airways Center was a big deal! Phoenix was the latest stop of the pop star’s MDNA tour, and I was lucky enough to have a ticket.
I knew I wanted to nod to the 80′s trends, while keeping a fresh and current perspective. I chose a distressed denim vest, paired with a baby doll leather skirt, and zipped half top.
Denim vests and leather pieces are two fall trends that I absolutely love worn together. Chunky boots with a wooden heel completed the look (and it didn’t hurt that I was tall enough to see over the crowd!)
Q vest, Boutique To You half top, Forever 21 skirt, Charlotte Ruse ring
My hair was curled and teased, a definite ‘do back in the day. I kept it modern by pulling some of it back, while allowing the rest to frame my face. But no big bangs for this fashion blogger! Dramatic lashes and red lipstick pulled my outfit together, head to toe.
Overall, I couldn’t have been happier with my outfit choice. There was something to be said for the girls who went all out costume though! Bravo Madonna fans.
The concert was epic. Obvi. The singer looked gorgeous as ever (seriously, her body is rockin’), the dancers were beyond talented, and the energy in the crowd was infectious. If you ever have the opportunity to see Madonna perform live, go. And, of course, make sure you have a fab outfit for the show.
