For my internship in Italy, I’m translating the histories of historical buildings and art in town for the website of Viterbo.


I learn tons of random words that I may or may not use in daily conversation, but I’d like to record them here to remember.

Per esempio: Questo porta funge da ingresso or This door serves as the entrance.


Ornare: to decorate


Per esempio: La mia casa ha ornato come un giardino or My house is decorated like a garden.


Raffigurare: to represent, to portray


Per esempio: Il dipinto raffigura la Madonna e gli angeli or The painting represents the Madonna and the angels.


Coro: choir


Per esempio: Canto nel coro or I sing in the choir.


Progetto: a plan


Ad esempio: realizzare un progetto or to carry out a plan
