However, despite the shows previous purpose, in that moment Penn, and Madonna both seemed to have completely forgotten the hatred and bitterness that ruined their 4 year marriage, back in the late 80s. Spectators commented that Penn, “was practically panting” and making comments such as, ‘Oh, man! I can’t take this! She is too hot!”
Tom Hank’s wife Rita who had seen the show, alongside Penn and some other friends, had commented to the actor, “Just like old times.” In response Penn had replied, “You’re not kidding!” Although, the Material Girl tried to keep this particular show clean, by allowing her preteen son Rocco to be one of her back up dancers, Madonna still exuded a sexual confidence, which lured Penn into reliving his attraction for her.
According to Radar, a witness had noted that “At one point she stared Sean dead in the face, smiled, unzipped her pants, and mooned the crowd, but it was really like she was mooning Sean! He laughed and clutched his chest like he was going to pass out. She was wearing a black lacy thong, and her butt looked perfect! So smooth and tight…like a 20 year old’s!”
After the show, Penn was seen back stage flirting with his ex and reliving good times from the old days. They were later spotted going into Madonna’s trailer, and only the famous pair know the truth of what happened thereafter. “It was amusing, and kind of cute” said a spectator who witnessed the incident. Perhaps the heat of the old flame, between Madonna and Penn, has not died down just yet.
