Hi Elena. You have a beautiful voice. I know you sang on John Seda’s “Teach The Dream” project and did an amazing job!
Q: How long ago did your singing career begin?
A: Music is my religion. I think I was born singing. So I sing all my life.
Q: Are you working on a new project?
A: I work with Paradox Factory the band as a singer. It’s a girl duet. The other girl’s name is Adriana. I’m also working on developing my solo career. I sing with the orchestra in the Kremlin. I also plan to work with John Seda again.
Q: What stimulates your creative side into action?
A: Ah, you know I have a very big inspiration. She’s my director, she’s my sister, brother, mother, teacher. She’s everything for me. Her name is Sophie. She’s real.
Q: Who are your vocal idols?
A: I can’t call them idols. I can call them gurus of music and I trust them more than anyone. I can tell you their names: Madonna, Celine Dion and Serge Ginsbourg.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: That’s a good question and a very difficult question. I can say this is maybe not just dream but I’m sure in 10 years I’ll be the first lady.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish with your vocals?
A: Our world is very primitive today. More and more people are interested in show and forget about real art, about talents that were given us by God. And most don’t care about world thinking it’s the problem of someone else. I don’t want to make free shows. People change because of songs. I want to make the world better, even if it’s so difficult to do alone.
Q: Whom would you choose to sing with if you could choose anyone, living or dead?
A: I think George Michael. Why not?
Q: Is he the only one?
A: Madonna, Celine Dion, Serge Ginsberg – my idols, as you said.
Q: Do you have any ideas on helping to change the attitude of musicians today?
A: Even musicians or anyone should have a deep reason for what they are doing, I think. And of course, every talent should be appreciated in the right way. I think so.
Q: How do you feel about enhancing a musical economy?
A: I just want to change people’s attitudes to music by creating new songs and that’s all I care about.
Q: You are so very beautiful. Are you a model also?
A: Thank you very much. I think every artist is a model, actress and performer.
Q: Do you have any visions of wanting to come to America to record?
A: Of course I want to make something in America it’s my dream. I’ve had two experiences in America. First was my song “Tomorrow’s Too Late” which I sang in the American Embassy in Russia. And the second was working with John Seda. It was a great experience for me. I’m happy that we worked together. So I hope that we will make something again with John in America.
Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: I like, of course, pop style, I like Euro-dance style, classic music too, and I like jazz. I like a lot of styles of music because in every style you can find something interesting for yourself. But, what about me, what kind of music I like to sing? It’s more pop, Euro-pop, dance with soul too.
Q: If you go solo, what genre would you sing then?
A: My goal is to have a solo career like Celine Dion and Kylie Mynoque.
Q: Do you reach out to educate or teach?
A: Not now but in the future.
Q: How old are you?
A: 25
Q: Do you perform with a band or with tracks?
A: I can perform with a band or I can perform with tracks. It depends on the situation on a lot of different things because sometimes people need a band, sometimes they don’t need any band. I sing with a 50-piece orchestra at the Kremlin now. I sang for the Russian Embassy in Moscow with a lot of politicians and I have also sung for our President Putin.
Q: Do you find it difficult in your country as a woman to promote your music?
A: In our country it’s difficult to do something for woman or man. Of course, that’s why I work in the band because in Russia it’s easier to promote it. But of course, it’s my dream to be a solo artist, but in Russia it’s very difficult to do it alone.
Thank you so much for your time. We here at BornAMusician.com are excited to include you as part of our team!
A: Thank you very much for everything.
