VVN Music: Madonna Sued For Using the Image of Marlon Brando ...

Madonna can't catch a break from any side lately. She is being sued for the images she uses in her current stage show and, now, Colorado fans are upset after she pointed fake guns at them during her concert.

Back in July, the ultraconservative Front National Party of France announced they were suing the singer after she showed a picture of the party leader, Marine Le Pen, on the main screen at her show with a swastika drawn on her forehead.

On Friday, it came out that the estate of Marlon Brando will pursue a lawsuit against the Material Girl for the use of his image during her show. The company that handles the rights to Brando's image, Brand Sense Partners, said that they had granted a one-time use permit for last years Super Bowl half time performance but that is all. After the event, Madonna's people approached them for a license to use the image during the tour for just a bit more money than the one-time Super Bowl rights but an agreement was never made.

Undeterred, Madonna's people kept the image in the show forcing Brand Sense Partners to bring the suit, seeking damages, revenues and profits, attorney's fees and costs along with an injunction stopping the use of the image.

In other Madonna controversies, she has been using prop guns during her current tour during the song Gang Bang, acting out the shooting a gunman which included blood splattering on her video screens. While it may have played well in Paris, it was considered to be in extremely bad taste to do it in Denver just months after a gunman opened fire at a movie theater, killing 12 and injuring almost 60 more.

Madonna's press agent issued a statement on Friday, saying that it would have been impossible to remove the number from the show because it was an integral part of the act. "It's like taking out the third act of Hamlet. ... Madonna does not make things pretty and tie them up with a bow."
