LA five-piece Kitten have released the title track off their upcoming LP Like A Stranger, out August 27th. If you're no stranger to Kitten, you'll love the latest installment of their grungy glam sound. This pulsing pop tune has a seriously addictive hook as vocalist Chloe Chaidez wails, "baby, I'll say anything, to love you like a stranger" over a heavy synth beat.
While all of Kitten's material references the 80's, "Like A Stranger" feels especially evocative of Madonna's "Like A Prayer" or "Rescue Me", with confessional spoken-lyrics coming in around the three minute mark. The style break only makes the song that much more savory.
Kitten is currently kicking ass touring with the likes of Paramore and now Charli XCX. Turn this number up.
